Block I
Great political cartoons today! Also, help me remember to give you all popcorn passes on Friday!
We completed analyzing conflict resolution in the short story, "The Great Rat Hunt". We reviewed writing techniques for describing characters; HOMEWORK - Write three character "sketches" for three people or animals you know well. Stay away from physical descriptions, but try to describe who these people or animals are. Use about 3-4 good sentences per person. We will share these in class tomorrow. For Social Studies, we shared our political cartoons in our table groups, then shared one from each group with the class. Focus; symbolism, inference; exaaggeration; point of view.
