Period 1-2
We experimented with writing about exaggeration, and read "Roughing It" by Mark Twain in our lit book; we answered the first three Comprehension questions on page 712. Tomorrow we will receive our first vocab words for our Mark Twain Unit - we will go over them in class tomorrow and have our quiz on Thursday. Also, remember to bring your independent reading book to class tomorrow!



In Social STudies, we reviewed the period just prior to the writing of the Constitution, and took notes on Shay's Rebellion. To be continued tomorrow!

Period 3 -

We experimented with writing about exaggeration (hyperbole) and understatement and read "Roughing It" by Mark Twain in our lit book; we answered the first three Comprehension questions on page 712. We also received our first vocab words for our Mark Twain Unit - we will go over them in class tomorrow and have our quiz on Thursday. For Social Studies, we argued different sides taken by the Founding Father's during the Constitutional Convention and came up with compromises.
