We compared the characters in our Lit Circle books; make sure you read your page requirements by the next Lit Circle meetings on Tuesday, April 26. In Social Studies, we worked on identifying our topics for the CBA (Classroom based assessment in Civics) - your position statements and signed parent permissions slips are due on Monday!
Period 3
We worked on identifying our topics for the persuasive essays and practiced writing position statements on our various topic choices. Parent permissions slips are due on Monday. We also are studying the art of persuastion - please bring in your advertisements/analysis (the four questions on the small piece of paper) to analyze on Monday. Also - the next Lit Circle meetings will occur Tuesday - make sure you have met your reading requirements by that date!
Block II
We wrote our first "one pagers" for our Lit Circle books today. We also worked on identifying our topics for the CBA (Classsroom based assessments on Constitutional Issues) and practiced writing position statements on our various topic choices. Parent permissions slips are due on Monday - please list your three topic choices along with two position statements for each topic on the back of your permission slip. We also are studying the art of persuasion - please bring in your advertisements/analysis (the four questions on the small piece of paper) to analyze on Monday. Also - the next Lit Circle meetings will occur Tuesday - make sure you have met your reading requirements by that date!
