Welcome back from Spring Break! Here is what we did today!
Block I
We turned in permission slips for our Lit Circle books (if you didn't already turn yours in, please do so tomorrow!) and turned in our Tom Sawyer books. We began our unit on the Civil War, taking notes on a ppt and taking your own notes from our SS book by filling in the information under the headings on pages 440, 442 and 443. (Life Under Slavery, Slave Culture and Challenging Slavery). You should have at least 5-6 bullet points under each heading; complete by tomorrow!
We also began viewing Night John, a movie depicting life on a southern plantation.
Period 3
We completed three more scored discussions and also discussed our thoughts about reading Tom Sawyer.
