Block I
We completed our Light in the Forest Jigsaw activity and turned in our sections. We read the short memoir in our Literature books, "Jalapenos Anyone?" and discussed it's strengths and weaknesses. We began working on creating webs for our own memoirs. Our webs are due on Thursday. We took our Chapter 3 quiz in Social Studies and discussed political cartoons in more detail. Our cartoons are due in class tomorrow!
Period 3

Our webs are due on Thursday.We also began discussion themes from our Light in the Forest novel; we each chose one of the discussion questions to write about - these are due at the beginning of class tomorrow.
Block II
We turned in our Light in the forest pre-reading paragraphs and then began working on our webs for our own personal memoirs. The webs are due in class on Thursday. We completed our Social Studies test over Chapter 3; we are also working on finishing up thank you notes to our parent volunteers who served on the panel for our Reading and Writing in the Workplace activity last week.
