We listened to a presentation in the library and checked out books - your independent reading books are due in class on Monday, September 13! We will be filling out your first reading logs at that time and spending a few minutes reading! We read a newspaper article, analyzed it with our small groups and practiced filling out our reading logs for online/magazine articles.
We practiced for our Map/Geography Quiz on the states and landforms - the quiz will be tomorrow, so be prepared!

We received our Daybooks and went over the first lesson on pages 24 and 25. We started our US History study by looking at the first societies to appear in North and South America; we charted the most important/interesting facts about each group.
Remember: Quiz over states and geographical features tomorrow!
